Songs for Kids Foundation is an Atlanta based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing music mentorship programs for kids and young adults with illnesses, injuries, and disabilities. Their focus on creative expression encourages the exploration of music in a safe and fun environment! Music is therapy, love, and a soul connection that leads to growth, healing, and a lot of great memories together! The SFK Band is an ensemble of kids and young adults up to 39 with disabilities and illnesses in the SFK Foundation mentorship program. The band emphasizes the power of teamwork and support for each other, bringing together kids that would otherwise be on a more solitary journey.
The guitar pictured was provided signed in permanent ink by King Gizzard band members for fundraising to support Songs For Kids Foundation! The guitar was also signed by SFK Band members. The top bid was received on the second day of the charity auction and the winner was extremely excited to have won the signed guitar for their collection!
This live charity auction facilitated a donation of $5,001 to the Songs for Kids Foundation, effectively sponsoring 2 young adults through their programs for a year!
